How AutoPress Pricing Works: Plans, Projects, and What's Always Included
By AutoPress Team
Hosting pricing has a reputation problem: teaser rates that triple at renewal, “unlimited” plans with invisible ceilings, and surprise line items for things that should be standard. We designed AutoPress pricing to be the opposite — flat monthly plans, billed per project, with the platform’s core capabilities included on every tier. Here’s exactly how it works.
The plans
- Free — $0. One production WordPress site with 1GB storage, automatic backups every 48 hours, and one on-demand snapshot. It’s a real production environment on the same infrastructure as paid plans — not a time-limited trial. One free plan per user.
- Pro — $7/month. One production site with 10GB storage, backups every 24 hours, three on-demand snapshots, and a 15-day free trial to start. This is the right plan for a single serious site.
- Plus — $15/month. Up to five production sites with 20GB storage each, backups every 12 hours, five snapshots per site, team member invitations with managed roles, and priority support. For developers and teams running several sites, this is usually the best value per site on the platform.
- Scale — custom. Running more than 30 sites per project, or need custom scaling profiles, security audits, or SLAs? Talk to us and we’ll build the plan around your program.
Paid plans carry a 30-day money back guarantee. Extra storage is a flat $0.10/GB on any site, up to 100GB per site.
Every plan includes the platform
The things that make AutoPress AutoPress are not upsells:
- Auto-scaling fluid compute — traffic spikes are absorbed on Free just like on Plus.
- Managed caching and global CDN.
- Automatic SSL certificates, issued and renewed for every domain.
- Managed security, patching, and platform-level hardening.
- Snapshot-based backups with one-click restores.
We priced it this way deliberately: scaling and security are platform properties, and charging per-feature for them creates exactly the fragile, misconfigured sites we built AutoPress to eliminate.
Why billing is per project
If you run client work, the unit that matters isn’t “your account” — it’s each client engagement. On AutoPress, every project has its own plan, its own invoices, and its own team access:
- Clean handoffs. Transfer a project to a client, and its billing goes with it — no untangling one mega-invoice.
- Honest cost attribution. Each client’s hosting cost is a line on their own invoice, not a spreadsheet estimate.
- Scoped access. Freelancers and client stakeholders get roles on the specific project, not your whole portfolio.
Agencies tell us this is the feature that quietly saves them the most time each month.
What we don’t do
No renewal-rate bait: the price you sign up at is the price. No charging for SSL, backups, or staging. No per-visit overage penalties that turn a good traffic day into a bad billing day — fluid compute scales within your plan’s fair-use envelope, and if your site consistently outgrows its tier we’ll tell you before it becomes a problem.
If you’re comparing plans for a specific project, the pricing section has the full feature tables, and the Free plan is the fastest way to evaluate the platform with a real site.
